Ingesting Audio Files into the Inteliate Case Management Fusion platform
Investigators often face the task of sifting through long speeches, news recordings, podcasts, and phone conversations to uncover a single phrase for an investigations. Not only does it take a long time but also carries a high risk of human error.
Inteliate can handle diverse types of data, including structured and unstructured audio files. Using speech-to-text feature, all the audio can ingested into the system.
Initiate's Speech to Text Feature:
Speech-to-text is a process that converts spoken words into text transcripts. Inteliate's integration of speech-to-text ensures ingested audio recordings are converted into textual format. It thus identifies key phrases, sentiments, and recurring themes.
Sample Investigation: Geopolitical Analysis:
To demonstrate, a geopolitical event was selected; the collapse of the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria, on December 8, 2024. We used 4 Audio documents in the investigation, and asked open ended questions. the recording and uploaded videos are attached below.
Opposition Groups in Syria: The audio recording contains an interview between a reporter and a professor at North western University, regarding the end of Assad’s rule as Syrian rebels seized control of Damascus. The audio also talks about the Syria’s allies and their future for maintaining diplomatic relations with Syria. Link
Refugees in Turkey: This audio recording is a news report, on how the fall of Assad regime has resulted in the increasing hopes of Syrian Refugee in Turkey to return home soon, as Turkey registers 3.2 million Syrian refugee, based on UN’s refugee agency. Link
Assad Victims: This audio recording discusses Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad’s grant of asylum in Moscow after fleeing his country. As thousands of victims are released from Assad's prison system, difficulty remains in finding and releasing others, and how can justice be serves with Assad in Russia. Link
Perspective of Russia’s Foreign Minister : This audio file contains recording, taken on 7th December, 2024 of Russia’s foreign minister Sergey Lavrov on recent developments that is seen to be reshaping the political map of Syria. Link

By interpreting key responses, the system determined the general sentiment of the masses regarding the fall of the Assad regime. This shed light on the public's perceptions and reactions to the event.
Predicting Future Circumstances:
Base on the audio ingested, system also analysed the futures circumstances that can potentially take place. For example, investigators wanted to analyse refugee movements in Syria post-Assad, Thus, Inteliate examine recurring phrase on refugee movement to predict the outcome. This way system can predict border geopolitical shift streaming from this course of event.
Navigating Drawbacks:
Based on the sample documents uploaded, Inteliate highlighted the need for journalists to be accurate and responsible in their reporting, especially when covering sensitive issues like war and conflict. A specific segment of the audio emphasised this point, showcasing the importance of cross-verifying information. Thus, by providing a broader perspective, Inteliate ensures awareness and reliability in investigation analyses.
